Ordering and Delivery
Ordering Online
Our meals come in generous portions for one or two persons. Ordering online is easy as pie; just take a wee look through the menu, pick a tasty category, add your chosen favourites, part with a bawbee or two (we promise it will be worth it) and wait for us to deliver your individual package.
We aim to process all Monday-Friday orders on the same day. If you fancy placing an order at the weekend, our cooks will confirm your request by 12 noon the following Monday (after they've pressed their uniforms, minced the lamb and argued
over the dishes).
PayPal processes all our payments, so you can settle-up with a pre-existing account,
or credit/debit card. PayPal offers a secure, safe and efficient way of paying for your
meals, without compromising your identity or details.
BIT OF A SCUNNER – Please note, thanks to some very naughty people we
are unable to accept cheques any more. Someone always spoils the fun.
But don't worry; they were made to clean the ovens as punishment
(what a stoor!)
Delivery
- Minimum order is £35 (excluding delivery)
- Delivery is free within a 5 mile radius of Dunfermline, Fife.
- £5 charge for deliveries within a 5-20 mile radius
of Dunfermline, Fife. - There will be no charge for delivery with orders over £60.
- Spend over £100 in one virtual visit, and we'll throw in
£10 worth of extra dishes, for free – because you've been
good to us.
We are able to deliver nationwide using a national carrier,
but this does require notice and final costs will vary depending
on location. Once you've placed your order, we'll contact you
to arrange a suitable time for our friends to visit with your package.
Payment can also be accepted when the order is placed, or upon
receipt of delivery. Whatever suits, it's up to you.
If you live further afield, drop us a line and we'll see how we can
accommodate your requirements. We're always happy to send one
of our cooks out on their pushbikes if need be (they love the exercise). If you
live in a wee place in the middle of nowhere, we might struggle to get it there in
time before it all turns into broth. If this is the case, please contact us before you order
so we can check for you.
Cancelled Orders
Orders can be cancelled before the 'cut-off point', which is normally 12 noon,
two days before the delivery date. Payments will be refunded, minus a 5% handling charge.
Carrier Deliveries
We promise that every parcel dispatched for delivery by carrier is securely packaged and will stay frozen for the duration of its journey. When our food arrives, we'd suggest sticking it straight into the freezer, to maintain the cool temperature (and keep it lovely and fresh). We will contact you to let you know what time the package will arrive, so please be in the house to intercept our goodies. Unfortunately some carriers are unable to 'stuff it in the shed', or 'stick it round the back'. If you are not present at the time of delivery then the packet will end up drookit, the courier man will be crabbit and the food will be spoilt before the next day's delivery. Canny Cook cannot accept responsibility in this case, and no refund will be given.
